The Food of FLORENCE

Hello Family and Friends! I am so sorry for the delay in posts as I have finally realized that abroad is not all fun and games, definitely requires work as well lol. BUT… here are some of the eats of Florence, Italy. Ever since I seen Eat, Pray, Love, I have dreamed of having my own food adventure in Italy and now I can say that this dream has come true. The food…  IMG_9285 and the wine <– were amazing!

I will be dreaming of that fresh pesto pasta and that delicious pizza for the rest of my days *insert crying emoji*. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed the meals!

Oktoberfest!! -Munich, Germany

First and Foremost, GERMANY IS COLD! Try and imagine little ole me running through the streets of Germany in this very cute dirndl (the dress I am wearing). It was about 48 degrees there but thats besides the point lol. This was one of my favorite trips so far!

We started the day very lost due to the fact that our airbnb was a little ways out but we found the nicest family to take us under their wing and show us to the grounds. They had 2 sweet daughters who gave us their extra jackets so we wouldn’t freeze to death (my heart melted). They also spoke 5 languages! Such intelligent little girls they were.

They festival itself… amazing! It was insanely crowded in the tents but so worth the wait. I had such an amazing time here and although it felt like the longest day of my life, it was one of the best. I think I loved this trip the best so far because everyone was so welcoming and open to having a great time. Germany – I love you (and the sausages)… Beer – I don’t 🙂

IBIZA…

Ibiza was something I tell you. It is known as being one of the best party places in the world and I am going to have to agree. It was amazing! Sadly, it rained one day of our stay so we missed out on that one but otherwise, the people and the ambience were amazing. There isn’t much to say but there are lots of pictures, enjoy! 🙂

P.S. Ive learned if you party to hard, you might get strep throat… thank God for antibiotics and my mamas love 🙂

Amigas

Here are a few pics of me with my friends! It has been so nice traveling with people that I know and care for so much! This place is called Park Guell in Barcelona and it was in the movie Cheetah Girls so I definitely got to live out my 8 year old dream of dancing and seeing this beautiful place! Amigas Cheetahs friends for life!

Buildings and Views

The architecture… breathtaking. It amazes me the amount of detail that the artist put into each little crack of every building. My professor has a tendency to get really into his descriptions of the buildings so lets just say if you want to know more about any of them, I’m your girl!

These pictures are from Seville, Cordoba, and Granada.

Never again…

So… this is Salmorejo. It is a very famous dish in Cordoba, Spain that everyone seemed to rave about. It is like a gazpacho but made with tomato, blended bread, and jamon. They put jamon on EVERYTHING here! I have eaten so much of it already and I know there will be so much more in my future.  Let me just say, this was probably one of the most interesting dishes I have ever had in my life. It probably does not look that appealing in the photo and to be honest, it was not at all! Good thing I had a huge glass of Sangria to wash it all down 🙂 Cheers!

Quick Note :)

IMG_9413.jpgThis picture is such a accurate depiction about how I feel about living in Spain for the next 4 months. I am so HAPPY. This picture was taken in Barcelona at our hotel right as the sun was going down. (I was face timing my sister to share it with her lol.)

I shall tell you all about how Barcelona was in a separate post but as you can see by that smile on my face – you can guess exactly how it was.

This FOOD!!

These two dishes… Oh. My. Gosh.

The one on the right is a from a restaurant in Granada, Spain. I have never tasted something so juicy and delicious in my life – and the best part it came with fries… like actual fries LOL. (I have been craving American fries and none of my previous places were fulfilling my craving so this was super exciting 🙂 ) I wish I could transport all of you to this restaurant because it is amazing and if you are ever in Granada, let me know so I can please direct you here!

The second dish… lets just say that it was so good, I ordered two! I will say that the portion size was tiny so I did not feel bad and if you know me… I can eat! The chefs at this restaurant were so cute and truly cared about the food. He actually came out to explain all about it but I won’t bore you – the best way to describe it is yummy, scrumptious, everything you have ever wanted in a pesto, best pasta I’ve ever eaten, deliciousness 🙂 – Restaurant Secreto in Valencia, Spain.
